HOW TO > STREAMING ON RADIO CHANNELS

There are different ways to stream on radio also depending on your operating system. We actually use Mac but on Windows it works very good. Remember to post your upcoming shows on the website and check if someone is already broadcasting on radio before go on air. Follow the guidelines below to start your radio streaming on Free Underground Tekno.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Be sure you have an audio in port
Remember to make a post or add your event on calendar
Don’t kick anybody who’s already playing on radio!
When your session is finished just disconnect from the server and the radio playlist will automatically restart
Audio streaming step by step? setup your audio system and broadcasting app, kick the source and go “on air”

BROADCASTING ON WINDOWS

This is a small tutorial from youtube where you will see the settings on how to stream using winamp and shoutcast plugin

Remember to download this file to correctly fill all streaming info fields of the program settings
Remember to use the live input and not the mp3s, go to your sound preferences and check if line in input is enabled
One step to go “on air”. You must kick the source before start your streaming session, read forward.

BROADCASTING ON MAC

There are several programs to stream from a Mac but we suggest this free and simple broadcaster tool macamplite

Once you have downloaded MacampliteX11, go to menu Window and open the plugins window and turn on the broadcast plugin

Now you can fill all streaming fields. Press the EDIT button (remember to refer to this file for details)

Ok, almost is done! You are close to press the start button
Check the encoder settings, we suggest to stream @ 56k-44khz-stereo audio quality settings (like in the picture)

Add to your playlist the LIVE INPUT on playlist menu

Check your computer [system preferences - sound - input] and verify that line in audio input is selected
Ok, now you are almost ready to start your stream
